SUPPORT TO IMPORTERS

Why to join the site:

If you are an importer and you are interested on importing from Guatemala the site will give you the following benefits:

  • A Directory of Exporters. This directory will display the contact information as well as the list of products exported by Companies in Guatemala.
  • A Catalogue which will display the products that are ready to be exported. In the Catalogue the price and stock of this items will be displayed as well as the Exporter which produce it. Once registered you will be able to buy an specific amount of these products.
  • An Auction application, where you can bid for products that you might be interested in, and specially you might find good prices.
  • Once you are registered the site will keep associated to your account the import history, which will list all the products that you have bought through the site.

How to Register:

To access to all the benefits listed above you just need to register in the site filling a form that you can access through the link "Register New Importer " which appears in the left side menu. All the fields are required, so you must fill them to complete the registration.

After submitting the form you will be able to buy products from the Catalogue, bid on items and edit your personal information.

Directory of Exporters:

In the directory of exporters you will be able to search for any exporter who has joined the site. In the details of each company you will be able to see all the contact information, an additionally you will find a percentage which represent the trustworthiness of the Exporter according with the feedback provided by his clients. This information will help you to decide from which exporter you prefer to buy from.

My Information:

When you have registered and logged in you will find in the left side menu the option "My Information" which will allow you to modify the information about your company, and add more products to your list.

Catalogue

The Catalogue displays all the products that the exporters have in stock ready to be exported. You will be able to search by different criteria to find the entries you are looking for. In the details of each product you will find all the information about the product, the stock available and the price. If you are logged in as importer you will have the option of buying a certain amount of this product. But when you buy it the status of the import will be pending, and you need to wait for the confirmation of the exporter.

Auction

This link will appear in the left side menu when you log in. This link will take you to the auction application, where you will be able to see all the items that are on auction and bid on them. If at the end of the auction you are the winner of the product the sale will be in your import history, but with status pending, until the exporter confirm the transaction.

Additionally, inside of the auction application you will find in the header menu the option My Auction, which will display all the items you are bidding on, the items you had won and the items you had lost.

Import History

In this option you will find the list of all the importing transactions you had established through the site, including those established through Catalogue and won in the Auction. For each entry you will be able to see the status of the transaction and the details of each one.

Additionally, after the exporter has Confirmed the transaction, you will be able to give your feedback about the exporter who sold you the products. This feedback is used for getting a percentage of trustworthiness of the Exporter. This feedback will help other importers to decide before establishing buying or bidding from the exporters. The percentage will be displayed in the profile of the Exporter and it will affect his level of trustworthiness, so please be objective. Also take into account that the Exporter will have the opportunity of giving feedback about you too, your level of satisfaction provided will be displayed also in your profile.
